Construction remains one of Australia’s highest-risk industries. Every day, workers face hazards that can result in life-changing injuries despite a strong commitment to workplace safety.

PBF Australia is a member-funded, not-for-profit organisation founded on the principles of mutual support and protection. Through the Reddifund partnership, construction workers and their families can access affordable membership while helping strengthen support for Australians living with spinal cord injury.

Every membership helps create a cycle of care by supporting people living with spinal cord injury through hospital-based peer support, meaningful employment opportunities, advocacy, and partnerships that drive injury prevention across Australia. Members also have the reassurance of access to a discretionary member benefit payment should the unexpected occur.

What Your Membership Provides

As a Reddifund member you are eligible for the discounted rate of just $25 per year for an individual membership or $45 per year for a family membership, and you receive and support us to:

• Protection with Purpose –members are eligible to apply for a discretionary member benefit payment of up to $250,000 in the event of a permanent traumatic spinal cord injury. The protection is 24/7 and not only work-related
• Support When It Matters Most – Funds from your PBF membership enables us to deliver peer support from people with lived experience during the rehabilitation phase at Fiona Stanley Hospital post injury 
• Driving Prevention Through Partnership – Your membership helps PBF Australia work alongside industry, employers and communities to reduce the impact of spinal cord injury through awareness, strategic partnerships, advocacy and safety initiatives. Together, we are helping create safer workplaces while supporting those whose lives have been changed by spinal cord injury.
• Supporting People with Lived Experience – Membership enables PBF Australia to remain one of Australia’s largest employers of people living with spinal cord injury, providing meaningful employment as peer mentors, advocates, keynote speakers and safety educators.
• Protecting Your Family Too – Family membership extends eligibility to your eligible family members, providing reassurance for those closest to you.
